No in-person interview, no meeting the staff, no meeting the clients, just fly half way around the world and parachute in to be the 4th Creative Director in 2 years. No problem, I’ve got this. When you have to hit the ground running in to an existing situation, listen to what the clients are saying, and then figure out what it really means. Next, find out what each staff person is good at and empower him or her to flex that muscle. It is a simple formula but it continues to be successful.
